April fishing in Islamorada is an exiting time. It is one of the best places in the world to fish for Tarpon, swordfish, and blackfin tuna. It is also a great spot of permit fishing.

Started out the month with a swordfish trip. We got 1 small one. We should have gone 1 day earlier as several large swords were caught. Fishing at the reefs has been good. The snappers have been cooperating and we are filling the coolers.

On the 2nd Dwayne caught a nice mutton snapper and a bunch of yellowtail snappers.

On the 4th we loaded up on snappers again and young Zack got his first sailfish.

4-10. The reef fishing has been excellent. We have been doing well evey day. This Dakota family ended up with a great Mutton and yellowtail snapper catch along with some kingfish.

We loaded up the next day with muttons, yellowatils and cero mackerel

April 15th, Tax day. We did a couple of half day charters. The reefs are alive with all sorts of fish. We had the kites out, what a beautiful day. There were sailfish, king mackerel, bonitas, Jack Crevalle, and a lot of snappers.

We had a couple of groups out, Ed and his crew had 20 yellowtail, 5 bonita and 4 sail releases. The bonita fishing has been great and the reefs are still productive.

4-23

Had a great day on the Jacks with a couple fromNew JerseyIslamorada Jacks

Had 2 great days on the smoker   kingfish and the snappers. The bottom fishing was great and the kingfish were plentiful. On one trip we jigged up a couple of amberjacks and pulled a limit of yellowtail snapper

4-26  Fishing is still great. Got a big muton snapper yesterday. Today we found this big mahi mahi hiding under a log.
