The Islamorada fishing report for February includes a report on the Islamorada Ladies Sailfish tournament and some good overall fishing. We saw some amberjack, sailfish, snappers and king mackerel.

2-8

We fished the Islamorada Ladies Sailfish Tournament this weekend. We started out slow the first day , going 0 for 2 on sails.

You can’t count Buzzon out. We went the second day and  caught 5 of 8 bites. This moved us from last to second place.

It was my first tournament with my sister, and the ladies did a great joy.

The Playboy too first place catching 9 sails on the second day

Openings in March and April

We have open dates in March and April. Come on down and enjoy the weather and the fishing

Feb 9

We wished today with some disabled veterans. A nice day with some great people. We had some anchor issues which took all of Marks strength to fix.

We saw warbirds working over some mahi. We caught enough to have a great day and some great dinner food.

Feb 19

We had a shortened day yesterday with young Phillip. Phillip got his first amberjack and his first blackfin tuna. We got a few other fish and tired the young man out

2-21

Had mike and Ginger out the last 2 days looking for sailfish. On day 2 in the afternoon we had a beautiful hookup. The water was clear with great visibility. Mike was able to enjoy the whole experience with perfect views of the action. It is great when dreams come true.

We were out chasing sailfish again . While waiting for them to show up, we kept busy catching big yellowtail snapper, king mackerels and releasing a big black grouper. That grouper made me wish for May 1st when the season starts.
